Information regarding Store Opening to the Public​

  • Beginning Friday, May 22 

  • Customers may shop in person 

  • Maximum of 3 customers in the store at a time (maintaining social distancing)

  • Hand sanitizer MUST be used when you enter the store

  • Customers MUST wear a face covering or mask

  • Please remember due to limited capacity we ask you not to travel to the shop in groups at this time

  • Curbside orders and pickup will continue and we encourage you to use this option for items you do not need to personally select (replacement blades, machine needles, basic thread, etc)

  • Personal appointments for shopping are available on a limited basis. Please contact for details or call 519 918 2226. 

  • Please try to limit bringing items to the shop. You may need to match a colour, we ask you to bring just a small sample preferably inside a clear baggie.

  • Long Arm quilting will begin again.

  • For the health of the Long Arm Quilter there will be specific requirements to follow to keep her safe and healthy (see below).

Important notes and specific changes to shop hours and requirements:

  • Temporary Hours of Operation for the public going forward: Wednesday - Saturday 11am - 3pm (begins on May 22, Friday)

  • Curbside ordering and pickup: Tuesday - Friday 11am - 4pm, Saturday 12-3pm

  • No restroom will be available for the public

  • No food or beverages will be allowed in the shop

  • We ask that you not bring family, children or groups to the shop, as we have limited number of people we can allow inside

  • No Returns or Exchanges at this time

  • Classes will not be resuming at this time, we hope that we will be able to resume as soon as it is safe and appropriate

  • Please do NOT wear gloves

  • The door may be locked, that means we are at maximum capacity for the time. Due to this we ask if there is a line-up then please limit your time to 30 - 45mins.

  • If you have to wait to enter, please provide 2m distance between each person. 

  • We ask you to not use cash at this time. 

  • Contactless debit or credit is prefered.

  •  Please be patient, we are trying our best to make it easier to shop in a safe manner for everyone.

  • If you have traveled or feel unwell in any way, please do not visit the store.

Long Arm Quilting Resumes, tips, requirements and new information:

  • Quilts will be booked on a first come first serve basis.

  • Quilt tops must be presented to be booked, no 'pre-booking' of quilts will be accepted.

  • Please complete the form prior to bringing in your quilt if possible (there is a PDF attachment with this email). 

  • Forms may be picked up at Stitcharie if you are unable to print the form yourself.

  • Please bring your clean, well pressed quilt top, batting and backing (unless purchasing) in a plastic or paper bag. 

  • Please do not bring your quilt in cloth bags, reusable bags or hangers at this time please.

  • If you need to purchase batting or backing we ask that you pay for it when you drop off your quilt.

  • Batting should be minimum 6" larger on each edge than your quilt top.

  • Backing MUST be 8" larger on each edge than your quilt top.

  • Pieced backings are acceptable, but we are unable to 'center' it to a specific position when loading the quilt

  • Stay stitching 1/8" around the outside edge of a pieced border is recommended

  • We do not trim quilts once completed.

  • We cannot guarantee a completion date for your quilt, volume of incoming projects varies and unexpected circumstances can occur.

  • Stitcharie will do its best to ensure you are satisfied with the quilting on your project. Each project is unique and no two projects turn out the same.

  Your support and understanding is greatly appreciated during these times. Our most important concern is your health and wellness and that of our staff that is working. We will do our very best to provide you safe, efficient and excellent service. Thank you for your patience.

wide backing fabric, including flannel, and an excellent assortment of battings.
